Two Cuties!

Just a few pics I took recently. We have so little daylight right now, so I try to get out and find a bit of sun to save my sanity. I love this cozy time of year, but will be happy to get a bit longer days in a month or so.
Penelope just adores Mukluk, and seems to speak his language. She loves to get him out and play in the snow. Mostly we let him run loose like a big dog, but he has gotten so frisky, we are making him walk calmly under halter too. He gets so wild, he will suddenly dash toward a snowbank and jump the whole thing! Its quite a sight to see.
I will post some of our Christmas photo outtakes here soon. It was one of our only days without bitter cold or wild wind, so we went for it, because its high time to get those cards sent! Wish me luck on that one. I think it may be our "language arts" class in school tomorrow......

Mukluk can jump snowbanks?!? I am impressed...what an agile little guy! :-) Oh do tell us more...is all that open area behind Penelope and Mukluk yours? How much property do you have? (We have 3 acres and feel like it is all the space in the world after having lived in subdivisions!) It is absolutely gorgeous where you live...tell us more about how much daylight you do have this time of year, and how cold is it typically during the day? Do you have snow most of the winter, or does it melt and then snow again? I too want to hear more, and think YOUR life reads like a good book! :-)

I think it is so neat how your girls have learned to take care of and interact with their animals. Really wonderful to see!

Mukluk is so adorable! I can't get over how sweet he looks, but it is funny that he has a mischievous side, too.

My twin girls are going to be 2 in February, so we have some time, but I am very interested in homeschooling. I know several people that homeschool their children in our area and I am going to start learning more about it now.
