We headed out past the pasture
and down the path that leads along the lake.
There are so many wildflowers on this path. I am thankful for each and every one! They blend so beautifully, each one setting off the next color. God must have known the joy they would give to his people, and I am sure he delights in our delight!
Even his big dopey leafy things are gorgeous! (although I am highly allergic to some of them..ick)
Sitting underneath them you can see all of the cool detailed veins.
My sweet husband was right (as he dragged me out of the house on a walk) when he said "Everything looks and smells better after a rain, Honey!"
We walked down the trail toward "The Point" as we call it.
The path splits here. Its silly, but I always think of it as a crossroads. Its a symbol for choices that I make in my life. I walk out here a lot. To go to The Point, we head left from here.
Such pretty pink and purple decorations line the path, and climb right up the tree! It kind of looked like they fell from heaven. Another unexpected treat for us on our walk.
Daddy, daughter, and Dandelion walk up ahead. Look how tall Chena is getting. Wow. And next summer I will say "Look how small Chena was last summer!" and sigh heavily.
These wild geraniums grow like crazy around this old fallen tree. In the fall, I use this backdrop for my children's "school photos" I do each year.
Here we are at The Point, looking back across the lake at our shore line, and our Super Cub floating there.
These wild Alaska roses are so brilliantly pink, they almost look red. And that funny tree moss we always call "moose hair". I used to think that's what it was, when I was a little girl.
I spotted another stunning Alaskan flower. Nine years old and sweet as can be!
Time to head back home.
Back at our side of the lake, Dandelion went for a swim. Poor wet baby.
What a fun walk. Good to just be with my family and pets. Enjoying them. Enjoying God's creation.
We live in one of the most beautiful spots on earth. I have often thought about where I would want to live if I could live anywhere. And I honestly think it is right here on Parson's Lake. I love my little spot of earth!
